Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends. Okay, here's what you're supposed to do, and try not to be a SCROOGE!!!
Just copy (not forward) this entire email and paste into a new e-mail that you can send. Change all the answers so that they apply to you.
Then send this to a whole bunch of people you know, INCLUDING the person that sent it to you... 'tis the Season to be NICE!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both- I love wrapping gifts, but I'm frequently in a time crunch and have to throw a gift into a bag and stuff it with tissue paper!
2. Real tree or artificial? Real- my dad would disown me if I ever got a fake tree! We've had nothing but real ones ever since I was little- it's bad enough that I buy it from a lot and don't cut it down myself!
3. When do you put up the tree? Sometime after Thanksgiving, usually the first weekend of December.
4. When do you take the tree down? This year, on Christmas Eve! We have to fly to WI on Christmas Day, so the tree is coming down early.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes...but I think I overdosed on it when I was little and can't really stomach it anymore.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Anything purple... my aunt bought me purple Keds one year, and I've never forgotten how thrilled I was.
7. Hardest person to buy for? My siblings. They're minimalists and we're VERY different!
8. Easiest person to buy for? Scott- I always have tons of ideas for him!
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope, but we had a frosted glass one when I was young and my sister and I used to switch the baby Jesus with a sheep. It was funny, I swear.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail... I ordered mine in October, but still haven't written them! Eek!
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Oh, if you only knew what I've received from my students.........
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Love Actually.... "To me, you are perfect."
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Early... like in the summer.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Absolutely. More often than I care to mention.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Coooookies!!! And fudge. Yum.
16. Lights on the tree? Yes – sometimes white, sometimes colored. I go back and forth.
17. Favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night. I'm not really a religious person, but I love that song, especially sung by Pavarotti or Mariah Carey (weird duo, I know... but they're both awesome).
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Travel to WI for my parents and the SNOW!
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, RUDOLPH!
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star now, but angel growing up.
21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning, even though my sister always tries to cheat.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Cranky people who don't like the holidays!
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Purple (ummm... easy question?)
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? It used to be ham, but I'm a vegetarian now! Oh, no!
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A nice digital camera!
26. Who is most likely to respond to this? No one, because I posted it on my blog and I highly doubt anyone will READ it, never mind copy and paste it!
27. Who is least likely to respond to this? Ruthie. :)
