My favorite combination of colors is purple with turquoise. Some people say it's too early-90's, but I don't care, I think it's bee-you-tee-ful.
However.
The majority of my readers, I've discovered, read my blog on Google Reader. I'm a fan, don't get me wrong. I currently subscribe to 57 blogs, and yes, I read them all.
But I realize that when you are limited to the blank, white background of Google Reader, a bit of color in the text can go a long way to keep your reader interested. Unfortunately, with my turquoise background of my blog, I was slightly limited in the colors that would show up. As nice as white text can look on a turquoise background, that clearly won't suffice in this case.
In the end, I've decided to forgo the colorful background and try to keep my bloggity blog looking fun and inviting by changing some of the color I use within my text. If you're a Google Readerer, go ahead... click over real quick and take a look! While you're there, let me know what you think!
