Emily Giffin's books are TDF (to die for, duh). I read these first two on my honeymoon. I couldn't get through them fast enough- I loved them so much! If you're a fan of the Shopaholic Series or Queen of Babble, you'll love them. No kidding. I want to eat them for dessert. The first one is Something Borrowed. Read the synopsis here.

The second one is Something Blue. Read the synopsis here. Yes, you MUST read Something Borrowed first, and Something Blue second. There is no switching.

The next one was Baby Proof, which I'll admit I haven't read yet. But it doesn't use the same characters, so I think I'm ok on that front. Read the synopsis here, but don't tell me what it's about!

Then FINALLY, we reach the point of this post. I'm currently reading her newest book, Love the One You're With.
OMG.
I love it so far. DO NOT tell me how it ends, I'm only halfway through. But if you haven't read any of these, you NEED to start with Something Borrowed. You'll die. I would offer to loan them to you, but mine are all borrowed from my girlfriends because I'm too cheap to buy them myself, and my friends always buy the hardcovers as soon as they're released. Yep, I'm a mooch like that.
What? It's not like I ask to read them first, or anything.

Ah! Whose is it?! Can I borrow it?!
ReplyDeleteIt's Andrea's, I think... or Staci's. Either way, I have the latest one right now- do you want it after me?
ReplyDeleteWow - I didn't realize you were suppose to read them in order! I thought I could just read one and that was it - they should put a sign on the book saying "read last" or something! I'm intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI heart Emily Giffin (I totally DIED when I read "Something Borrowed" and I was meh with "Something Blue". I guess I'm just not a Darcy fan?) and I heart you more for posting about her! I haven't gotten to "Love The One You're With" because I'm waiting for it to come out on paperback.
ReplyDeleteI have Baby Proof on hardback if you want to borrow it.
